Pickled Shrimp

A gem first discovered while living in Charleston, SC, this recipe is a must-make during the summer months. Light, tangy and all-around tasty, these shrimp will have you yearning for the coast (provided you don’t already live there). Grab a stack of crackers, a crisp white wine and enjoy — make sure you eat the vegetables, too.

  • 1. Place water, vinegar and Old Bay® in large sauce pan, bring to a boil. Add shrimp, cover and steam until cooked through; about 5 minutes. Drain shrimp, set aside to cool and then peel.
  • 2. Place shrimp in a bowl or jar. Top with onion, peppers, and dill. Stir together 1 1/2 cups water, vinegar, and salt; pour over peppers. Cover and chill 8 hours.
